Evan Tkaczyk of Oswego awarded Aurora University honors scholarship

Evan Tkaczyk of Oswego has been awarded a top Aurora University scholarship and invited to join the Honors Program next fall.

The Oswego High School student was recognized during the Aurora University Honors Program Dinner on March 20 and presented with a prestigous TP Stephens Scholarship, one of the top AU merit awards. During the dinner, eligible incoming freshmen in the Class of 2016 were introduced to the benefits of the Honors Program, including advanced coursework, innovative seminars, study abroad opportunities, leadership development, service learning and a culminating senior project.

The AU Honors Program is designed for intellectually curious, academically exceptional, and highly motivated freshmen and transfer students. To be eligible, high school students must have an ACT score of at least 26 and a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA in college to remain in the program.
