2011 Sep 2
Thomas Sitarz of Kingston helped an Aurora University student business team hit a hole in one with a benefit golf outing for the Hesed House homeless shelter in Aurora.
Sitarz and other AU students in the spring Sports Management and Business Golf courses raised $3,850 for the shelter in "Tee Off for Hesed House," a fifth annual benefit held at the Fox Bend Golf Club in Oswego, Ill. The charity golf outing is held annually to provide students a practical application in sports management.
Alicia Cosky, Professor and Director of the AU School of Health and Physical Education, recently presented a check to Ryan Dowd, Hesed House executive director.
"Aurora University is a joy to work with," Dowd said. "The faculty and students really put their hearts and souls behind this golf outing. We couldn't be more pleased."
